What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Having graduated from a selective entry high school, I can truly understand how beneficial tutoring can be for students who may need additional help, or simply want to excel in their studies. From my previous experience in mentoring students, I believe the most enjoyable aspects are watching the students grow and improve in their studies whilst developing the confidence to undertake challenging tasks on their own. I also enjoyed establishing trust and connection with students whilst providing them with guidance regarding educational queries.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my greatest strength when tutoring is being able to identify any points of improvement for students and formulating a plan to develop the skills needed to see results. Creating a plan and being prepared helps both students and tutors to track progress and reflect on any challenges faced, which is why I take pride in being organised. Additionally, my patience and ability to communicate with students of various age groups and backgrounds is another strength that may enhance the connections, therefore aiding overall performance.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do for a student are to listen and be receptive to their concerns. Being a student can be overwhelming, hence why I believe it is essential for tutors to structure their lessons in accordance with the students' needs. Ensuring that the methods of communication and teaching are appropriate for the student are also major factors that can play into how quickly a student can understand concepts and build trust with the tutor.
