What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

While I do not have experience as a tutor, I have undergone tutoring for Advanced English in year 12. What I enjoyed most was how my tutor was able to tailor their approach to teaching to meet my unique needs and learning style, which is often limited in school. In doing so, I felt as though I had achieved immense progress, and a tutor's ability to foster confidence and make a difference in someone's learning journey is something that I admire and enjoy.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Having been tutored before gives me a unique perspective as a tutor. I understand firsthand the challenges and frustrations that students may face when learning new concepts. This experience allows me to empathize with my students and approach tutoring sessions with patience, understanding, and a personalized approach. I can relate to their struggles, adapt my teaching methods accordingly, and provide the support and guidance needed to help them overcome obstacles.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to have an individualised approach and foster a healthy mindset to learning. Understanding each student's unique learning style, strengths, weaknesses, and preferences is essential to maximising their learning potential. Furthermore, encouraging and fostering a positive mindset is key. Helping students build confidence in their abilities, nurturing a growth mindset, and emphasizing their progress rather than just their grades can significantly impact their learning journey.
