What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I’ve worked a lot with kids (having many little cousins and as a volunteer at my local mosque as an assistant teacher for religious studies) and enjoy every moment as it very rewarding being able to see your impact on them. Also, being someone who has had tutoring myself I know the profound impact that it had on my confidence (especially with maths) and being able to have a chat with my tutor which helped my overall wellbeing.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my patience, communication skills and friendly character will enable me to have a big impact through tutoring. I am also very organised and reliable which provide the best experience for students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things a teacher can do for students is build their confidence in school so that they can engage in classes and make the most of each lesson. I also think, tutors should make students feel comfortable so they can ask any questions even if they have to go through a question several times so they can get the best outcome from lessons.

About Zoya

Experience Supporting Young Learners

Zoya has hands-on experience assisting with primary-aged children, having supported 6-7 year olds in scripture and Arabic classes. She worked alongside the main teacher to help run engaging activities, provided one-on-one support for students needing extra help, and even stepped up to lead lessons when required. Through regular involvement in classroom settings and teacher training sessions, she has developed confidence, adaptability, and a keen understanding of how to create a welcoming learning environment for younger students.

Academic Achievement and Study Skills

Consistently recognised for her high academic achievement throughout high school, Zoya has earned multiple Principal’s awards and placed among the top three in subjects such as economics, business studies, and religion. Her own success is rooted in strong study habits and effective problem-solving skills—tools she is eager to share with her students. This tutor understands what it takes to excel academically and can guide others through strategies that build both confidence and results.

Leadership Through Sports and School Initiatives

Beyond academics, Zoya brings energy from her extensive participation in team sports—including netball, soccer, tennis, basketball, and touch football—where she’s received several awards recognising teamwork and dedication. As an elected ecology leader on her school’s House Council, she organised initiatives like Earth Hour events and fostered community spirit through competitions. These experiences make her approachable and skilled at motivating students of all backgrounds while creating sessions that are both productive and enjoyable.
