What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy most seeing students click to ideas. By this I mean I enjoy seeing them coming to an understanding of a topic or idea and thus being able to complete tasks on their own with ease where they once may have had struggles or confusions. As an extension of this I really delight in watching students progress over time and meeting the goals they had for themselves, I enjoy seeing their accomplishments and their confidence grow as they do so. I appreciate being able to be a part of and an influencer in their journeys.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am a critical thinker, organised and a hard worker, I am willing to put as much time and effort into things as are needed, whether this may be planning sessions or finding new ways to approach teaching a topic a student may be struggling with. I am also articulate with my words and thus I'm able to phrase things in a way that is simpler and easier to understand. As well as this I have patience and I'm a deep lover of learning, I wish to inspire this love within others too and enjoy watching students learn. I am also reliable and consistent.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Helping students to learn and progress in a way which suits their learning style and ways of thinking is an important thing tutors can do for students. If a tutor can adapt to this I believe the student will learn both with more efficiency and more enjoyment. This enjoyment is also of great importance to help students come to a love of learning, in all its stages and ups and downs and to value the hard work that is often needed along the way. I believe the skills and work ethic which can be instilled through tutoring can set the student up, not just for the classroom, but also for life beyond.

About Elise

Academic Excellence and Creative Problem-Solving

Elise is a dedicated university design student who excelled throughout her school years, consistently ranking in the top ten of her cohort and earning Dux in Year 11. She achieved strong results across English, Mathematics, Science, and the arts, with particular strengths in Advanced English and creative subjects. Her experience developing major projects—such as designing intricate textiles inspired by supernovas—demonstrates both her critical thinking and ability to manage complex tasks from concept through to completion.

Leadership Through Volunteering and Teamwork

With over a decade of volunteering at a local pony club, Elise has honed valuable organisational and leadership skills by helping coordinate events, supporting younger riders, and participating actively in team settings. This background means she brings patience, clear communication, and encouragement into every tutoring session—skills especially important for guiding students at primary or high school level.

Engaging Learning Approaches Tailored to Students

Elise’s broad academic interests are matched by her hands-on creativity; she regularly incorporates visual aids and practical examples when explaining new concepts. Whether breaking down an English text or helping demystify maths problems, she draws on real-world experiences—from producing prize-winning art to managing event logistics—to make learning relatable. Parents can trust that this tutor will bring both structure and enthusiasm to support their child’s educational journey.
