What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to help out students achieve better results in the subjects I enjoy. Me personally, I love math and science subjects, and being able to teach students in these subjects and potentially get similar marks to mine, or better, is really great.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor include:
- Taking notes of students' weaknesses and strengths in order to plan next sessions
- Creating study plans for students to follow throughout the term/semester in order to understand both what the student might need help with, and what the student will need to do to achieve the results they want. This will help plan sessions better unless the student is only looking for general help on questions, etc.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe a tutor shouldn't just focus on helping out their students during sessions. Tutors should be focused on making plans before their sessions, learning from their students' strengths and weaknesses. They should be passionate about their students' grades as much as their own.

About Shriyans
Who am I?
Hello, my name is Shriyans. I am doing a integrated dual degree at university, where I will be studying for Bachelors of Engineering/Masters of Engineering. During my time in high school, I absolutely loved helping peers and students with school. I was always happy to provide assistance for my peers, whether it be with assignments, subject matter, or study habits.
Real-World Leadership and Mentorship

He has experience collaborating with peers to deliver projects under changing circumstances—skills that translate directly into adaptable, supportive tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s needs.
Building Positive Learning Environments
Shriyans’s involvement in creating inclusive spaces—such as preparing breakfast for primary students—shows his commitment to supporting younger learners beyond academics. By combining attention to detail with genuine care for student wellbeing, he helps foster confidence and a positive attitude towards learning. This approach ensures that students feel comfortable asking questions while building skills for long-term success.

Initially, there was a bit of difficulty in understanding how to work with arrangements and calculating how many arrangements of letters could be made. However, Hayley eventually understood how to work with sets with more confidence. Hayley could understand sets and was very confident in finding working with them.
More practice with permutations can help with a more thorough understanding.
Hayley found doing combinatorics a little bit difficult due to it's distinction to permutations, but could understand the processes and steps of doing combinatorics.

More preparation and solid understanding of all content is required, as Samantha struggled a bit with integrating and deriving trigonometric functions and logarithmic functions through the chain rule.
