Currently I study at UWA to obtain my Bachelor of Engineering Honours, in the discipline of Automation and Robotics. Learning all the subjects of engineering is quite hard but it is very rewarding, I get to apply all the theory I learnt in school such as Physics and Maths. I also get to learn the aspect of software, mechanical, and electric side of engineering. Mastering the basics will help tremendously in life.
I actually get to build racecars. I am part of the UWA Motorsport team where we build a Formula Student racecar and send it of to Melbourne at the end of the year to compete with other teams from around Oceania. I am always happy to share more and even photos of the racecar!
Beyond academics, Alexey brings lessons alive by drawing on his leadership roles in robotics clubs and international STEM events. Whether programming robots or leading teams to design experiments for space research, he encourages creative problem-solving that makes maths and science relevant outside the classroom. His diverse interests—from engineering projects to organising Model United Nations conferences—allow him to connect learning with real-world skills, motivating students to see the bigger picture behind every lesson.
