What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
One thing that I enjoy most is seeing students progress as they apply themselves and their effort to their learning. I have experience as a language teacher, and I especially love to see the progress of those who have historically struggled with the target language.
Similarly, I love witnessing when students work things out themselves and teach themselves. I am excited for this opportunity to be a tutor for your team and to facilitate the process of helping students overcome challenges and find solutions.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
Some of my greatest strengths as a tutor are my passion for learning, my ability to build rapport, and my communication skills.
I love learning, and my excitement will enable me to maintain enthusiasm when helping students.
My ability to build rapport will help create a relationship with the student so that they can know they can trust me and that I want to help them.
Lastly, my communication skills will enable me to adapt my delivery to the needs of the students. Combined with my patience and listening skills, these will be a great strength as a tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The most important things a tutor can do are to:
1) Listen to the student. This builds a connection, making learning easier, and helps tutors understand how to cater to studentsโ needs.
2) Be an example of motivation and work ethic, helping students have patience to work through difficult concepts, find joy in success, and become more self-reliant in learning.
3) Help students see their strengths. Students may resonate with different techniques or arrive at a solution in different ways. Embracing this will nourish studentsโ enjoyment of learning and make learning more effective.
