What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Although I’ve had no formal tutoring experience, I have informally tutored my younger brother in his HSC math and engineering subjects. I find it extremely rewarding to see the student figure out a problem after receiving some guidance and the accompanying joy associated with this. I enjoy guiding a student to reach a goal that they have set.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
In tutoring my younger brother informally, I have found my strength in tutoring is my ability to guide the student to an answer without giving it away, allowing them to understand the problem solving process and experience the reward of finding the solution themselves.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Help them enjoy learning. The role of a tutor should be to engage the student and make the learning process fun, encouraging them to put more effort into their learning, consequently improving their results. As well as this, it is vital that a tutor guide the student to a solution rather than simply giving them the answer, allowing them to understand the process and get a full grasp of the content.
