As a child I personally found myself struggling to stay enthusiastic about school, and did not excel at school in ways my friends did. Even though I felt I was struggling, I passed, and in high school I began to understand my studying difficulties and how to amend them. By the time I was in Year 10 I was part of the 10A Mathematics class and continued to get A's even in the classes increased difficulty. In college I did Specialist Methods Maths, along with English, Drama, Sociology, and Philosophy, where I competed in Ethics Olympiad and came 2nd nationally. I am now a first year student at University of Canberra studying a Bachelor in Built Environment Architecture and have found a new love for learning, doing classes like history and culture and professional orientation.
I'm the only daughter in a family of 6, and I am the second youngest. I spend most of my time on my studies or spending time with my friends, and I occasionally pick up theatre performances, both for cast and crew. After graduating College and spending a gap year as a barista, saving up money for a year to then go to Europe in October for 6 weeks. I learnt many historical facts and life experience during my time within England, France, Spain, Italy, and Greece, and would love to travel again.

She had previously expressed concern about being behind of graphs, but after the work today she did them with ease and understood how to read and write (x,y) co-ordinates.
None - she did fantastically today and she was confident while she did it.
She understood bar graphs with no problems. She drew up a bar graph and knew what makes up a graph without me telling her.

She seems to need a bit of guidance when doing graphs, like "what do you think would be a good scale for the graph" or "are you missing anything", but she always notices somethings wrong when being pointed in the right direction. She has a strong basis to learn about graphs for the coming years of school.

She seems to understand how to do long multiplication but makes a few minor mistakes. She understood line graphs better by the end of the lesson. We discussed how the line on the graph works opposed to the points, and how it is similar to a bar graph which made is easier for her to understand.
She seems to struggle with just her basic times tables, which leads to her making mistakes in her long multiplication. We'll start every lesson by doing our basic timetables with only using either our hands or doing it in our heads so she can practice. I'm not confident she knows how a line graph works fully, but she will learn when to use them with time and practice.

He was very emotive with his reading and pronunciation of words he was unfamiliar with. He would ask for help on words and names he didn't know which showed he was interested in what he was reading and enthused to learn.
The attitude he showed was good today, and I want him to be this enthused and curious every lesson about the things that interest him, even if that means he doesn't want to do the work. Xander does well and conversing so even if he doesn't do the work, conversations about the topics he learns at school can help him understand them more.
