What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
First, I often find it rewarding to see students improve over time, gaining confidence and mastery in the subject.
Also, during tutoring, I can often learn new perspectives or deepen my own understanding of a subject while teaching.
When I Know that my guidance can have a lasting impact on a student's education and future is a source of satisfaction and achievement.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
First is I have some knowledge of the Victoria Education System. As a student graduate from Melbourne high school, I understand the local curriculum, which helps me structure lessons effectively.
Then, I can be fluent in Chinese and English, I can explain concepts in Chinese to Chinese-speaking students and communicate easily with parents.
Also I have some teaching experience: I have been working as a private tutor for two years. By combining it with my university studies, it gives me practical teaching skills and the ability to plan lessons effectively.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is teaching study Skills. It includes equipping students with effective learning strategies, time management techniques, and organisational tools to help them succeed beyond certain tutoring sessions. Because I am a student as well, these study skills continue to help me in my uni study or even work. It's impossible to help students achieve long term success by letting them understand certain content only.
