What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The ability to support and guide students in their learning journey, much like my experience in customer service, advocacy, and administrative roles. Through my work as a Helpdesk Officer at the NSW Electoral Commission, I developed strong problem-solving and communication skills, which are essential in breaking down complex concepts for students.
My background in Mental Health Coordinating Council and as a Consumer Representative, has strengthened my ability to build rapport, listen actively, and provide guidance. I have done subjects such as Biology, English, Science and History.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Here are my strengths as a tutor:
Strong Communication & Problem-Solving – Experience in explaining complex information clearly, developed through my role as a Helpdesk Officer at NSW Electoral Commission.
Building Rapport & Student Support – Background in advocacy and community work, allowing me to connect with students and adapt to their learning styles.
Empathy - My background in mental health and advocacy has strengthened my ability for empathy which is very important in any "people-based" roles
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Make Learning Understandable – Break down concepts into simple easy to understand concepts.
Encourage students and help them believe in their abilities and build confidence.
Foster a Positive Learning Environment
Encourage Critical Thinking – Teach problem-solving skills rather than just providing answers.
