What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy seeing students improve. Especially with subjects or topics they’ve been struggling with. Seeing their eyes light up with joy and pride when they finally master the maths problem or the chemistry concept fills me with self-fulfillment and happiness.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think I’m able to explain things quite well, using the use of analogies is one of my strongest suits. I also think I’m quite hardworking, as teaching another is a two-way street, I need to put in as much effort as the student is. I believe I am able to match the effort the student is putting in. I also believe myself to be quite patient, meaning I will keep trying to help them understand over and over again without getting irritated or giving up. After all, if they’re failing to understand, it is my fault as a tutor for not explaining properly.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Be patient. Tutors must always be patient with students as both stand on different levels in education and understanding. What may have come easily to the tutor may not come so easily for the student. Furthermore, what seems extremely easy to the tutor may be very hard for their student. Therefore, it is imperative that the tutor is patient in helping the student get a grasp on key concepts.
