What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing I enjoy the most about tutoring is when my student is able to improve its grade after getting tutored by me. Or able to see the change in attitude of the student.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my biggest strength is able to give good advice about the right approach/technique/tips. I was able to find the best approach/technique/tips in studying at the end of the year 12 and even though I was a failing student, I was able to get a decent ATAR.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Make sure the student has the right attitude towards studying and enjoying as well. I personally think enjoying what you are doing is the most important. From my experience, It is way easier to learn and memorize the things you like. Forcing the student to do something worsens the attitude and possibly the grade as well.

About Justin

Diverse Tutoring Experience Across Ages and Backgrounds

Justin brings a wealth of tutoring experience, having supported both primary and high school students in Maths and English. He has tutored younger boys in his boarding house, guiding students from Years 8 to 11 through challenging maths concepts, as well as officially teaching Maths and English to a group of Korean primary students via an online platform. His ability to adapt his approach for learners at different stages highlights his flexibility and commitment to student success.

Leadership and Mentoring Through Real-World Involvement

This tutor’s leadership extends beyond academics; he has served as Club Leader for an initiative supporting young orphans’ education, team captain for a sports team, and Staff Sergeant within a cadet corps—roles that required him to guide, motivate, and communicate with peers of various ages. These experiences have shaped Justin’s mentoring style, making him approachable yet focused on helping students build confidence alongside their academic skills.

First-Hand Understanding of Overcoming Academic Challenges

Having personally transformed his own academic results through perseverance and smart study techniques, Justin is passionate about inspiring students who may be struggling. He draws on real examples from his journey—moving from predicted lower scores to strong achievements in advanced maths subjects—to show students that improvement is always possible. His supportive methods aim not only to boost grades but also to foster lasting self-belief in every learner he works with.
