What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy being able to connect with students and identifying gaps in their learning and using tailored strategies to help them overcome these gaps. Seeing measurable improvement, whether it be in confidence or assessment results, and seeing the effort pay off is the most rewarding part.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As a recent high-achieving high school graduate, I understand the effort students have to put in. I also know the syllabus well and I'm up-to-date with the latest content, allowing me to tailor strategies for each student. From experience, I can present effective study techniques and problem-solving methods that lead to high academic achievement.
Most important things I can do for a student π
A tutor should:
1. Break complex concepts into simple, logical and manageable steps, making learning easier and more enjoyable.
2. Being friendly, open and understanding. Without this, students may not feel comfortable effectively learning and asking questions.
3. Providing structured practice with tailored feedback. One of the best ways to study for certain subjects such as Maths and Physics is to practice using previous test papers and exams, and then feedback on them.
4. Setting clear and achievable goals, and tracking progress towards them.
