What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoying tutoring because it gives me satisfaction when I can guide students to not only master content but also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom. I think that witnessing a student's growth from beginning to end, especially when they are satisfied with their own self-growth, is something that I consider deeply rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As a tutor, my greatest strengths are my being to engage with students and adapt to their needs. I excel at breaking down complex ideas into simple steps whether it being explaining a calculus or probability concept.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for the student is to create a transformative learning experience. Of course, being a tutor that can explain concepts well is a vital but beyond that, in my opinion, exceptional tutoring is where the tutor can support and cultivate self-growth and self-reliance in students so they can carry on these habits throughout their adult lives.

Who I am
Hi there! My name is Paul and I'm a third-year dental student at the University of Queensland, with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. Before studying dentistry, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Melbourne.
I have firsthand experience with selective school entry exams and understand the dedication and mindset required to succeed. Whether it's breaking down complex concepts or building exam confidence, I love helping students reach their full potential. My goal is to create a learning experience that is engaging and tailored to each studentβs needs.

Working out is sometimes incoherent. He knows the answer in his head but the working out isnt quite as the same when written down. He also usually skips a few steps ahead which causes him to make easy but fixable mistakes .

Hugo was able to do mental math quite well especially when it came adding and subtracting large numbers. When provided with motivation and encouragement, he was able to do the questions quickly and easily.
Has trouble with doing his working out on paper and having coherent steps when doing it. Lacks self esteem and confidence but can be improved with motivation. Was unfocused at many times during the session.

Camille was very compliant and picked up on the content relatively easily. She understood adding and subtracting fractions with denominator once i provided her with my own worked example.
Confidence has room for improvement. While she was able to all questions given to her, she lacked self esteem when doing questions that looked hard when they really were not.
