What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoy seeing a student grow in confidence and start believing in their abilities. It's rewarding to be a part of that journey -- to help something click for them and watch their progress over time. I also love being able to explain things in different ways until they finally make sense to the person.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I'm very patient and encouraging, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions. I also take the time to understand how each student learns best, and I adapt my teaching style to suit their individual needs. I'm clear in my explanations and make sure the student really understands before moving on.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important things a tutor can do are to build the students' confidence, help them develop problem-solving skills, and create a safe space where they feel supported. A tutor should guide the students to become more independent and motivated in their learning, not just help with answers.

About Patricia

Education & Background

Hi! I’m currently studying a Master of Biotechnology at Monash University, and I’ve always had a strong interest in both science and education. Over the years, I’ve volunteered in various tutoring and mentoring roles, helping younger students with their schoolwork and building their confidence—something I’ve grown really passionate about.

My Tutoring Style

As a tutor, I’m patient, friendly, and encouraging. I know every student learns differently, so I always adapt my approach to suit their needs. I aim to make learning feel less stressful and more engaging, whether that’s through games, examples, or breaking things down step-by-step. I’m happy to help with school topics, homework, assignments, or even just boosting confidence in a subject. My goal is to create a space where students feel safe asking questions and excited to learn

Hobbies

When I’m not studying or tutoring, you’ll usually find me reading, trying out new recipes, or going for walks outdoors. I love discovering new ideas and hobbies—it helps me stay creative and open-minded, which I bring into every session with my students. I’m approachable, reliable, and flexible with scheduling, so I’m happy to find a time that works best for you and your child.
