What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to help others in achieving their goals, whether that be to get a high study score in their VCE subjects or to improve their grades, even a little.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that as I am young and someone who has recently finished high school (in 2023), I believe that students will be more willing to be taught by someone like me as I am closer to them in age and am more aware of teaching methods which might suit them. I am also able to be friendly when needed and strict when needed, which I believe will help my students focus on their learning materials.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider creating and fostering a trusting environment to be important for a tutor to do for their student as it allows rapport to be established between them. I feel like when rapport is established between a student and a tutor, the student will be more willing to pay attention and improve on their areas of weakness.

Ellie knows a lot of concepts but has some trouble in figuring out which concept goes where. However I believe this can be solved with more revision.
Ellie understood the topic overall and was able to solve the questions on her own with little to no problems.

Sometimes Ellie forgot to include a point from the data set which caused her answer to be wrong. She clearly knows how to solve the question, so I would suggest Ellie double checks the data points she wrote down with the data points in the question to ensure she has them all down.

I would say Ellie had a little difficulty with some terminology such as "trials" and a little bit of trouble with finding the data set the question is asking her to find the probability for. I think this was because it was still a new topic for Ellie, so I think once Ellie does more questions independently we can figure out what her level it at.

While Ellie understands what the mean, median and range are, she does get them confused amongst each other and has some difficulty calculating and defining them as well. I believe with more practise Ellie should eventually be able to fully understand this topic
