What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
My most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is seeing the moment when a student understands a concept after struggling with it, the "lightbulb" moment. It is so rewarding to feel as if I have helped someone build confidence in a subject. I also enjoy finding out how different students learn and having to change my approach to suit their needs.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Patience is definitely one of my biggest strengths. I am aware that learning is a time-consuming process, and I never rush it. I also break down complex ideas into simpler steps, which makes them easier to understand. Besides that, I build excellent rapport with students, and that leads to the delivery of a safe place where they are not afraid to question and err, which is an essential part of learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do are supporting the student's understanding, building their confidence, and encouraging independent thought. An effective tutor doesn't just give answers but teaches students how to figure things out for themselves and how to think. It is also important to listen and react to the student's needs so that the support is actually a success.
