What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
What I enjoy most about tutoring is watching that moment when something finally clicks for a student. Helping my students go from confusion to confidence especially when they've been struggling - it is incredibly rewarding. I love adapting my explanations until it makes sense for them, and seeing their growth over time keeps me motivated.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
What I enjoy most about tutoring is that I get to approach learning from both sides as a tutor and as a student myself. Since completing my Bachelor's degree, I've been tutoring for over three years, and I always teach by putting myself in the student's shoes. It helps me explain concepts in a way that's relatable and easy to grasp, and I find that this approach really builds trust and understanding with my students.
Ex: If my student likes footy - I am going to use the game field to explain the Pythagorean theorem.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important things a tutor can do are to make the student feel understood, build their confidence, and explain concepts in a way that truly makes sense to them. As someone who is still a student myself, I know how overwhelming things can get, so I try to create a comfortable space where they are not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes. It's about guiding them, not just teaching content, but also helping them believe they can do it.
