What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
One thing that I enjoy the most about tutoring is seeing people's confident face when they truly understand a concept after a long time of uncertainty.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I did not receive any tutoring services during my VCE study so I had to figure out all the unclear concepts by myself after school.
If I could self-study using the materials available online, why can't I teach others using the experiences that I had so they can navigate the content better?
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is engage them in the content by answering a simple question: where is this subject used practically in real life?
This means that for every new concepts being introduced, we should not dive in the boring formulas right away but rather talk about why the formula even exist or its role in everyday life. This makes the learning much more interesting.

Understood the logic of signs for each case Correctly identified whether to use two positives, two negatives, or one of each Found number pairs that multiply to cc and add to bb efficiently Recognised the pattern and applied it independently Asked good questions about "what if both numbers are negative?"
Remembering to check the middle term sign before deciding the case Handling larger numbers (e.g., x2?15x+56x2?15x+56) requires more trial and error Distinguishing between Case 2 and Case 3 when cc is negative Factoring when bb is zero (e.g., x2?9=(x?3)(x+3)x2?9=(x?3)(x+3) – difference of squares)

Understood the meaning of union (?), intersection (?), and complement (') Correctly drew Venn diagrams from word problems Applied the "start from the middle" method effectively Calculated probabilities from Venn diagrams accurately Asked good questions about the order of operations when filling regions
Remembering to subtract the intersection when finding "only A" or "only B" Handling three-set Venn diagrams (more complex, more steps) Recognising when data is inconsistent (sum doesn't match total) Using correct set notation in written answers

Quickly understood the structure of a two-way table Correctly identified row totals, column totals, and grand total Used addition/subtraction to find missing values independently Connected Venn diagram regions to two-way table cells Calculated probabilities accurately from the table
Remembering that row totals and column totals must match the grand total Setting up the table from scratch with unfamiliar categories Handling three or more categories (extension) Converting between word problem ? table ? Venn diagram fluently

Understood the purpose of tree diagrams for multi-stage experiments Correctly drew tree diagrams from problem descriptions Applied the multiplication rule along branches accurately Distinguished clearly between with and without replacement Calculated event probabilities by adding relevant branch outcomes
Remembering to update denominators in without replacement problems Keeping tree diagrams neat and organised for 3+ stages Recognising when order matters vs. when it doesn't (e.g., "one of each" can occur in multiple orders) Calculating probabilities for larger numbers (e.g., 10+ items)
