What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is when a student truly understands the actual concept behind math. From my tutoring experience, I’ve noticed that many students try to just memorize formulas and steps, without realizing that every formula in math has a logical and meaningful reason behind it. I really enjoy helping them see the ‘why’ behind the equations — showing them how each concept is built and how it connects to real understanding. It’s very rewarding to see their perspective change from memorizing to actually thinking and reasoning through problems.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor are my patience and adaptability. I never get bored repeating myself, and I never get frustrated if a student doesn’t understand something right away. I believe every student has their own way of learning — some respond better in a fun, relaxed environment, while others learn best in a quiet, focused setting or through real-world examples. I make it a priority to first understand each student’s nature and learning style, and then adjust my teaching approach so they feel comfortable, supported, and confident in understanding the material
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to build their confidence, help them truly understand the concepts, and create a supportive learning environment. A good tutor doesn’t just give answers — they guide the student to discover the solutions on their own and develop critical thinking skills. It’s also important to be patient and encouraging, so the student feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. When students feel understood and supported, they’re much more motivated to learn and improve.
