What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students develop genuine confidence in their abilities. I know what it feels like to struggle with understanding a concept, so watching that moment where things finally click for someone is incredibly rewarding. I also enjoy showing students that learning doesn’t have to be intimidating; that with the right guidance and mindset, even difficult topics like Physics or Mathematics can start to feel logical and manageable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My main strengths are clarity, patience, and adaptability. I’m able to explain concepts from different angles until they make sense, and I always focus on identifying where a student’s confusion comes from rather than just repeating information. Having taught myself large parts of the VCE Mathematics and Physics courses, I’ve developed a strong sense of how to learn independently and methodically, and I use that to teach students not just what to study, but how to study effectively.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important things a tutor can do are to build a student’s confidence, provide structure, and foster independence. A good tutor doesn’t just solve problems for the student, they help the student understand how to approach those problems themselves. It’s also essential to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s where real progress happens.

About Regas
High-achieving maths and science mentor with strong academic foundations
Regas is a high-performing senior student who has completed advanced subjects including Mathematical Methods, Physics, Software Development, Algorithmics and English, consistently achieving results above 90%. He is now studying Physics and Engineering, giving him a deep understanding of the maths and science concepts taught at school. This tutor knows the curriculum from a student’s perspective and explains tricky ideas in a clear, step-by-step way that helps both primary and high school students build confidence and accuracy.
Experienced classroom and one-to-one tutor
Regas has two years of experience tutoring maths and science, mostly one-to-one, where he has helped students prepare for tests, strengthen core skills and improve problem-solving techniques. He has also taught Greek language classes, managing groups of learners and designing lessons that keep students engaged. This mix of classroom teaching and private tutoring means he can quickly spot where a student is stuck, adjust his explanations, and give targeted practice that leads to real progress.
Well-rounded communicator who connects with students
Beyond academics, Regas brings a rich background in music and sport that shapes his tutoring style. As a former youth orchestra cellist and competitive fencer, he understands discipline, focus and how to break big goals into manageable steps. He often uses real-life examples from science, music and sport to make abstract maths and physics ideas easier to grasp. Calm, patient and organised, this tutor helps students develop good study habits as well as strong subject knowledge.
