What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

im a very dedicated student who is passionate about what i do. i have experience working at kumon tutoring centre for over 2 years and i loved engaging with students and helping them out.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I have recently graduated year 12 and have done math methods. i have a very strong base in maths and as i have experience in teaching already i would be very suitable for this job. problem solving is a key strength i have and have been taught numerous easy ways to learn certain things which i would like to carry forward and teach others

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

problem solve. understanding the students difficulty and coming up with a solution or easy method to teach the student is the main thing. till the student doesn't fully understand the concept i see no point in moving forward with the course like teachers do in school

About Tanvi

Confident Maths Support from a High-Achieving Senior Student

Tanvi is a capable senior school student who already tutors Year 9 and Year 10 maths, giving her a strong understanding of the curriculum and the common areas where students get stuck. She explains concepts step by step and uses real examples from schoolwork to build confidence, not just complete homework. As a current student herself, she relates easily to both primary and high school learners and knows how to break down tricky ideas into clear, manageable pieces.

Real Classroom Experience and Fast-Paced Marking

Through her role as a casual assistant at a learning centre, Tanvi has experience checking and marking large volumes of maths work quickly and accurately. This has trained her to spot patterns in mistakes and give targeted feedback that actually helps students improve. She is used to structured learning programs and brings that same organised approach to one-on-one sessions, helping students build solid foundations rather than rushing through topics.

Leadership, Wellbeing Focus and Multilingual Perspective

As a senior school wellbeing prefect, Tanvi is trusted to support younger students, listen to their concerns and encourage a positive attitude towards learning. This leadership role shapes her tutoring style: calm, encouraging and focused on building resilience. She is also learning Hindi at a language school, which gives her insight into what it feels like to tackle new and challenging material. Parents can expect a tutor who is reliable, organised and genuinely invested in their child’s progress.
