What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to assist students with their personal and academic growth. I am passionate about helping students become better at subjects that they do not feel confident in, or in perfecting subjects that they only have small knowledge gaps in.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength as a tutor is being able to identify the needs of each student, and then personalize my method of teaching for them. For example, if a student is a visual learner, then he/she would appreciate me going through each step with them, and creating diagrams where appropriate. But, if on the other hand, a student learns better through listening then I would simply display the full solution to a problem after he/she has worked on it, and then explain the process or steps verbally.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things that a tutor can do for a student is to:
1) Build strong, personal relationships with their students: a tutor should personalize the learning, make learning more interesting for the student, and teach to the student's strengths while minimizing their weaknesses.
2) Focus on goal setting, and creating benchmarks. For any student to succeed, it is important for the tutor to set short and long term goals for them, taking into consideration what the student desires.
3) Have specific content expertise, and to know the subject that they are teaching very well.
