What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing that moment when something finally ‘clicks.’ Watching someone grow, gain confidence, and realize their own potential is incredibly rewarding. Even though I haven’t tutored in an actual tutoring center, teaching my siblings and friends has shown me how meaningful it is to help someone understand something new. Tutoring also helps me understand things better myself and makes learning even more enjoyable

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my strengths as a tutor are patience, clear communication, and the ability to explain things in a way that feels easy and comfortable. I try to create a calm, encouraging environment so the person I’m helping never feels rushed or stressed. I’m also a good listener, so I can understand where someone is getting stuck and help them work through it step by step

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

In my opinion, I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to be patient, supportive, and truly listen. A tutor should help the student feel confident, break things down in an easy way, and create a safe space where they’re not afraid to ask questions. It’s also important to encourage them, celebrate their progress, and help them learn how to understand things on their own.

About Kenny

From School Leader to Study Coach

Kenny is a recent Year 12 graduate who understands today’s curriculum first-hand and knows what it takes to stay organised and motivated. At school she was actively involved in student councils and wellbeing groups, contributing to projects that strengthened school culture and student voice. This experience means she brings maturity, empathy, and strong communication to every session, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence step by step in both English and Maths.

Real Experience Helping Younger Learners

Although new to formal tutoring, Kenny has spent years supporting younger siblings and cousins with homework and test preparation. She is used to breaking tricky ideas into simple, everyday language and showing different ways to tackle the same problem until it “clicks”. Kenny draws on her own recent exam experience to teach practical study routines, revision strategies, and planning skills, so students are not only improving their marks but also learning how to manage their workload independently.

Calm, Caring and Highly Organised Sessions

Kenny’s background working with children in a busy play and party environment has trained her to stay calm under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and connect quickly with kids of different ages. In tutoring sessions, she uses this to create a warm, structured atmosphere with clear goals and short, focused activities. She listens carefully to where a student is stuck, adjusts the pace to suit their style, and keeps lessons positive and encouraging so students finish feeling capable and ready for the next challenge.
