The individuality of students is far too often ignored. However, in my tutoring sessions I pay attention to my studentsβ uniqueness, with their own learning styles, interests, and abilities. I believe that adapting my teaching strategies to suit each individual student is the best way to unlock their potential, adding a personal touch tailored to each of my pupils.
As a high achiever in secondary school myself, I know what it takes to succeed academically. Through my own school experiences and professional development as a pre-service teacher, I know which learning habits are the most beneficial. Most importantly, I love to share them with my students! I take great pride in being able to teach not only curriculum content, but also essential study skills, time management, organisation, and wellbeing tips. When mentoring students, I help them to develop the skills and habits that support success.
I know that every student wants to enjoy learning. I harness the benefits of engaging activities and authentic personal connection to get the most out of my students, providing the motivation that might be otherwise lacking. My approach allows for personable, engaging tutoring tailored for each individual student, ensuring that they get the most enjoyment possible out of each session.

As with all topics we are going through, Harper still needs to practice all the skills to boost proficiency. In particular, rearranging equations when fractions and negatives are involved can be focused on, including when to cancel double negatives.
