What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is seeing a concept finally 'click' for someone. Guiding a student through a challenge and watching their confidence grow as they master new material is incredibly rewarding.
Experience assisting a younger brother and his friends with their math homework, though informal, taught the importance of patience. It also highlighted how to break down complex problems into manageable steps tailored to individual learning styles. Explaining a topic in a different way when the first method doesn't work is something that is found to be very rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
- Adaptability
- patience
- communication skills
- active listening
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing I believe a tutor can offer to their student is focusing on the students individual needs, confidence and long term learning skills.
Providing personalised attention will allow the student to understand the concept to a greater degree and thus enhance their knowledge and will also build their individual self esteem as it helps students feel more capable and motivated.
Additional another important aspect is creating a safe and supportive environment where everyone encourages growth by establishing empathic relationships within students

About Raquelle
High-achieving senior student who understands todayβs classrooms
Raquelle is a current Year 12 student with consistently strong academic results, especially in written work and problem-solving. Because she is actively navigating the same curriculum younger students are moving into, she understands exactly where they may get stuck and how to explain concepts in clear, everyday language. This tutor is organised, reliable, and takes pride in turning complex ideas into manageable steps that build confidence over time.
Natural communicator who makes learning feel comfortable
Raquelle brings excellent communication and teamwork skills from years of collaborative school projects and group assignments. She knows how to listen carefully, pick up on when a student is confused, and rephrase explanations without making them feel judged. Parents can expect a calm, friendly tutor who encourages questions, checks understanding regularly, and creates a safe space for students who may be shy or anxious about Maths or English.
Responsible role model who builds good study habits
Supporting her familyβs business has helped Raquelle develop strong responsibility, time management, and attention to detail, all of which she brings into her tutoring. She helps students plan their homework, break down big tasks into smaller goals, and keep track of deadlines. This tutor aims not just to improve marks, but to show students how to organise their work, stay motivated, and take pride in their progress at school.
