About Mariam
Confident VCE student with strong Maths and English focus
Mariam is a current VCE student who studies English, Mathematical Methods and Physics, so her knowledge of the secondary curriculum is fresh and directly relevant. She understands the pressure of assessments, SACs and exams, and can explain concepts in a way that makes sense to today’s students. As a student representative and active participant in group projects, she regularly helps classmates clarify tricky questions, break down tasks and stay on top of their workload.

With experience handling customer enquiries and phone calls, Mariam communicates clearly, patiently and respectfully with people of all ages. She uses these skills in a learning setting by asking guiding questions, checking understanding and encouraging students to explain ideas in their own words. Fluent in English and Arabic, with basic Mandarin greetings, she is especially understanding of students from multilingual homes and can create a comfortable, friendly space where they feel safe to make mistakes and ask for help.
