About Madeleine

High-achieving maths and English role model

Madeleine is a high-performing student in an accelerated academic program, consistently achieving results above 90% and earning multiple academic excellence awards in maths, science and English. She has gained distinctions in national mathematics competitions and a high distinction in a major chemistry quiz, showing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Her experience in high-ability programs for both English and mathematics means she understands extension content as well as core skills, making her well placed to support students from primary through to early senior years.

Real tutoring experience and clear communication

This tutor has hands-on experience tutoring maths for Years 7–12, giving her a solid understanding of curriculum expectations and common student challenges. Madeleine’s background in debating, public speaking and oratory competitions (including best speaker awards) means she explains ideas clearly and confidently, and helps students express their thinking in structured ways. As a school vice-captain and respectful relationships facilitator, she is used to guiding younger students, listening carefully, and creating a calm, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome.

Balanced, energetic mentor who connects with students

Beyond the classroom, Madeleine brings energy and relatability through her involvement in drama, musical theatre, dance and school clubs such as literature and Amnesty. She understands busy schedules, having balanced elite athletics with top-level academic work, and can help students develop realistic study routines and organisation strategies. Having led maths mentoring and taken part in enrichment programs like the Da Vinci Decathlon and Tournament of Minds, she enjoys using puzzles, real-world examples and creative activities to make learning maths and English engaging and confidence-building.
