What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I love about tutoring is engaging with children and talking with them. I like to see the progress in their results and confidence in my students overtime as they learn with me.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I always try to engage my children as much as I can whether it be learning more about them by listening or trying to create an activity that they like. In a class of 5 children I try to include everyone and give everyone at least 10 minutes of my time which helps to create a supportive environment.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Always listening to their students and letting them speak. The more a tutor listens to their student, the more they open up with the tutor which helps to create a supportive environment. Also tailoring to the students need at all times in terms of how we talk with them and their learning.

About Simardeep

Growing Tutor with Real Classroom Experience

Simardeep currently works in a tutoring centre, giving her direct experience supporting school students in Maths and English. She understands how to explain concepts clearly, check for understanding, and keep learners on track in a focused environment. Her background in science and ongoing study in physiotherapy mean she brings strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills to every session. This tutor knows how to help students move from “kind of get it” to confidently completing questions on their own.

Strong Communicator Who Connects with Young Learners

As a former school transition leader, Simardeep has guided younger peers into high school, answering questions, calming nerves and helping them feel settled. She has also introduced groups of students on transition days, building their confidence in a new setting. This experience helps her quickly build rapport with children and teens, especially those who may be shy or anxious. Parents can expect a tutor who listens carefully, explains ideas in simple steps, and makes students feel comfortable asking questions.

Active, Organised and Motivating Role Model

Simardeep’s long-term involvement in volleyball and school sports has strengthened her discipline, time management and teamwork—skills she passes on to her students. She uses these experiences to help learners set realistic goals, manage homework loads and persist with challenging topics. Having represented her school in team sports and taken part in group activities like dance, she understands how to motivate different personalities and celebrate small wins, helping students build both academic skills and confidence.
