What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
The thing I enjoy most is making a change to the students lives, from my past experiences as a tutor, seeing an improvement in their work makes me feel proud. Since I have a younger brother I often tutor him as well, seeing my assistance have a direct influence on his grades and my mothers happiness is something that I really enjoy.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
One of my biggest strengths is the way I can explain difficult concepts to younger kids, since I have commercial experience tutoring a primary school student, I had to get creative to find ways to explain things to a young mind, and personally find it one of my strengths in this field. My enjoyment for mathematics also contributes as a strength to maths tutoring because it was my favorite HSC subject and itโs something iโd never get bored of teaching. Also commitment to seeking improvement and bringing out the students best is also one of my strengths as I am dedicated to doing my best.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
To motivate them to not only enjoy the subject, but feel dedicated to improving themselves as well. Students enjoying the subject is very crucial to their grades because without it, they wonโt feel the same eagerness to see a better grade, and the need to continue pursuing an education. When they start seeking improvement themselves is when a tutor has truely successfully done their job.

About Jerusha
Hi, I am a first year at the University of Sydney!
I graduated Baulkham Hills High School in 2025 and I am pursuing Biomedical Engineering and Commerce at the University of Sydney.
Strong Communicator and Student Leader
This tutor brings excellent communication and organisational skills, developed through both tutoring and school leadership roles. As a peer-support leader and member of an anti-racism collective, she has experience guiding younger students, listening closely to their concerns, and creating an inclusive environment. Her involvement in the yearbook committee and digital design work shows she can present information clearly and creatively, which flows directly into the way she explains Maths and English concepts. Parents can expect clear updates and thoughtfully prepared lessons.
Engaging, Well-Rounded Role Model
Jerushaโs wide range of interests helps her connect with many different personalities. She has been a band percussionist and a basketball player, giving her insight into both creative and sporty students, and she enjoys weaving real-life examples from music or sport into explanations. As a state winner in a space apps competition and a participant in a national linguistics contest, she understands problem-solving and language at a high level, and uses these experiences to show students that learning can be curious, challenging, and genuinely fun.
