What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

To put it simply, I'm a nerd, and I love being able to share knowledge and seeing how excited and passionate I can get students about all the amazing things in STEM that they have yet to learn.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

By far my biggest strengths as a teacher is my passion. I am very fortunate that, unlike those with a formal education in teaching, my background as an aerospace engineer means I get to use all the content I teach every day, and I love to do so. i can show the students that this isn't something they should learn for the sake of learning it, but rather how i can be used to solve real-world problems

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

My ultimate goal as a tutor is not only to teach the content the students need to learn but also to teach them to love learning so that they realise it's not a chore they have to do but rather something amazing they GET to do for the rest of their lives, not just once school ends.

About Luc

Engineering student who makes Maths and Science feel real

Luc is an aerospace engineering student who loves turning tricky Maths and Science ideas into things students can see and touch. He has designed real engineering systems, from rocket avionics to mechanical filtration devices, so he explains abstract concepts with concrete, memorable examples. This tutor is especially strong at breaking down multi-step problems, showing students not just how to get the answer, but why each step matters, building both confidence and genuine understanding.

Proven classroom experience with high school students

Luc already teaches STEM workshops to secondary students, often running sessions of several hours on topics like rockets, spacetime and relativity. He adapts his explanations to different ability levels in the same room and adjusts the pace based on how the class is progressing. This experience means he is comfortable managing attention spans, checking for understanding, and rephrasing ideas in multiple waysโ€”skills that transfer directly to onetoone and smallgroup tutoring in Maths and Science.

Clear communicator and engaging role model

As a team leader on student engineering projects, Luc has had to explain complex calculations, diagrams and code to people from non-technical backgrounds, sharpening his communication skills. He uses diagrams, step-by-step reasoning and real-world space and engineering examples to keep lessons engaging, especially for students who think they โ€œdonโ€™t like Mathsโ€. With a current clearance to work with children and flexible availability, this tutor offers reliable support that combines academic rigour with an easy-going, approachable style.
