What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the impact I have on my students. To be able to make a difference in someone's life is incomparable. As tutors, we have the opportunity to make a difference in ways that cannot be made in classrooms. The one-on-one or small-group environment allows us to focus on each child's individual needs. This difference allows us to make a greater impact on each student, allowing them to grow in an environment that's tailored for them.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

As a tutor, my strengths are my experience and my strong educational background. I have tutored for almost 3 years, in small groups and one-on-one environments (both online and face-to-face). I have taught children from prep to year 11, so I am well-versed throughout almost all ages and skill levels. This experience allows me to identify the needs of each child, depending on their year level and skill level. Alongside this, I am currently majoring in maths at university, and have a selective high school background, giving me a strong depth of knowledge that’s useful for tutoring.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to understand that all students are different. Understanding that all students are different allows there to be separate approaches, depending on the student. Using different approaches makes learning enjoyable for students, as they don’t feel like they need to fit into a plan that’s not suitable for them. A positive effect on the students' grades can be seen through this approach.
