What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love developing a relationship with students and understanding their learning processes, to then adapt my own teaching methods to guide and support them in learning. The satisfaction of working together to solve problems and then watching them learn and grow as they gain more independence is so inspiring!

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths include patience and flexibility, which enable me to tailor my approach to the specific needs of each student and ensure they are maximising the benefits of each session. I also have a very enthusiastic and optimistic attitude, which inspires students and supports them when learning may be challenging.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor is someone that a student can rely on for support. They are pragmatic in finding ways to ensure the student has a positive experience with learning. The student is in control, and the tutor is a guide that assists and also facilitates the student to take safe risks, ask questions and completely engage with their learning in ways suitable to them.

About Daisy

High-achieving humanities and maths student

Daisy is a high-performing recent school graduate who excelled in Advanced Maths, Ancient History and Legal Studies, consistently achieving results above 90%. She now studies a Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies with a focus on criminology and socio-legal studies, strengthening her analytical reading and writing skills. This tutor brings fresh, up-to-date understanding of the current curriculum and assessment styles, making her well placed to support both primary and high school students in maths and English-based subjects.

Leadership and mentoring experience with younger students

Throughout high school, Daisy actively took on leadership and mentoring roles, including Peer Support and a youth enrichment program where she guided younger students through school life and goal setting. She also contributed to a collaborative project on environmental and community issues, learning how to explain complex ideas in simple, engaging ways. These experiences shape her tutoring style: calm, encouraging and practical, with a focus on building confidence step by step.

Organised, reliable and great with communication

Daisy’s extensive front-of-house work has honed her communication, time management and organisation. She is used to explaining options clearly, listening carefully to individual needs and staying patient under pressure—skills she brings directly into her tutoring sessions. This tutor likes to break tasks into manageable chunks, use real-world examples (including legal and historical case studies) to make concepts stick, and keep parents in the loop about progress and next steps.
