What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy finding different ways to explain a concept in a way that a student is able to digest; learning the way someone understands best is highly rewarding, and finding the way that a student can understand the foundation of a mathematical concept feels great. It's enjoyable adapting explanations for them and seeing the moment it everything makessense to them.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths include clear communication, patience, and the ability to break complex ideas into simple, manageable steps. I listen carefully to understand where a student is struggling and adjust my approach accordingly. I am organised, reliable, and supportive, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while learning.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important things a tutor can do are to build confidence, create a safe and encouraging learning environment, and teach students how to think rather than just what to memorise. A tutor should provide clear explanations, consistent support, and practical strategies so students can succeed independently, both academically and personally.

About Kaustav
Building Strong Foundations in Maths and Study Skills
Kaustav is a Bachelor of Science student who brings solid maths knowledge and clear analytical thinking to his tutoring. With experience in basic statistics and problem-solving from his degree, he helps students break complex ideas into simple, manageable steps. He focuses on building strong foundations, showing students how to set out working clearly and check their answers carefully, so they feel more confident in class tests and everyday homework.
Patient Communicator Who Listens and Explains Clearly
Through his customer-facing roles, this tutor has spent many hours explaining information over the phone and in writing, which has sharpened his ability to communicate clearly and calmly. He is an active listener who takes time to understand where a student is getting stuck before offering solutions. Kaustav encourages students to ask questions, talk through their thinking, and learn from mistakes, helping quieter or anxious learners feel comfortable speaking up.
Supportive, Organised Approach to Every Lesson
Kaustav brings attention to detail and reliability to each session, planning structured lessons with clear goals and simple practice tasks. He uses his experience handling varied client queries to adapt explanations on the spot, whether a student needs step-by-step guidance or extension work. He enjoys connecting real-life examples to maths topics, such as using everyday scenarios to explain percentages or basic statistics, so students can see why what theyβre learning actually matters.
