What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is witnessing my students gain confidence in concepts that previously confused them. Seeing their progression is an incredibly rewarding feeling, as I know I'm having a direct, positive effect on their learning.
However, beyond academic performance, I value helping students maintain an optimistic attitude toward learning to encourage better study habits.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Personally, I think my key strength as a tutor is my understanding and patient nature. I am fully aware that each student learns at their own pace, and I am willing to tailor my teaching approaches to suit individual needs, ensuring that every student feels comfortable in their learning environment.
Moreover, I am also very commited and hardworking. As a tutor, I will consistently put in the effort to maximise the learning output of my students. In doing so, I am also commited to learning and refining my teaching approaches, ensuring my students are receiving the best learning experience.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Evidently, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to have a solid understanding of the content material, enabling them to teach effectively and confidently answer any questions that students might have.
However, beyond academics, tutors should also be there for students experiencing stress and anxiety in relation to their learning, providing them with reassurance and guidance to not only guide them through their learning, but their overall wellbeing.

About Rohan
Strong Academic Foundations in Maths, Science and Languages
Rohan is a high-achieving recent secondary school graduate with an ATAR above 95, giving him a solid grasp of the curriculum faced by today’s students. He placed in the top 10% of a national problem-solving maths competition and received a principal’s award for Science, showing both depth and breadth across core subjects. He has also earned a certificate of excellence in a national French competition, which helps him explain grammar and language patterns clearly to younger learners.
Real Experience Explaining Ideas to Younger Students
Beyond his own results, this tutor has hands-on experience working with primary students. Through a “Kids Teaching Kids” environmental program, he presented concepts in simple, engaging ways to younger children. He also visited primary schools to explain an accelerated learning program to families and students, building his confidence in speaking to both children and adults. These experiences mean Rohan is used to breaking down complex ideas, reading a room, and adjusting his explanations so every student can follow.
Disciplined, Encouraging Role Model for School-Aged Learners
Rohan brings the discipline of a Taekwondo black belt and the teamwork of football and volleyball into his tutoring style. As a school mentor for younger students, he has supported peers with study strategies, time management, and staying motivated across the year. He is patient, organised and reliable, and uses problem-solving skills from robotics and maths competitions to guide students step by step. Parents can expect a calm, structured tutor who helps build confidence as well as marks.
