What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students grow both academically and in their confidence. I find it rewarding to inspire students to develop their own passion for learning and to go from feeling unsure about a topic to feeling capable and motivated. I enjoy building supportive relationships with students, watching them thrive and knowing I've helped create a positive learning experience where they feel encouraged to challenge themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My main strengths as a tutor are my patience, adaptability, clear communication skills, and approachability. I allow students to learn at their own pace, ensuring they never feel uncomfortable, rushed, or pressured. I adapt my teaching style to best suit how each individual student learns, adjusting how I explain concepts or the examples I use. I communicate ideas clearly and check for understanding before progressing to new topics. Moreover, I build positive, comfortable relationships with students so they feel comfortable asking questions and actively engaging in the tutoring process.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to instill a sense of confidence and help them become independent learners. A tutor should create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing effective learning strategies, and gaining the skills they need to succeed independently. My goal is to help students thrive academically, eventually independently, while also developing a passion for learning.

About Madeleine
Academic Excellence
I graduated in 2025 with an ATAR of 96 and was a straight A student throughout my high school years. I received the DUX ATAR award, as well as subject awards for achieving top in my class in ATAR Mathematics Applications, ATAR English, ATAR Health Studies, and ATAR Career and Enterprise. Having so recently completed these courses, my knowledge of the curriculum is fresh, including exam techniques and learning strategies that lead to strong results. I aim to pass these strategies on to help students maximise their own academic performance.
Experience Supporting Peers
I have tutored Year 11 and 12 students in ATAR Mathematics Applications and ATAR Health Studies, supporting them in improving both their grades and confidence. This included breaking down difficult concepts in simpler ways and helping them prepare for assessments. I also organised and ran group study sessions before exams, creating a collaborative environment where students could revise content, ask questions, and learn together.
Dedicated and Personable Tutor
I consider myself a dedicated and personable tutor who adapts my teaching style to suit each student's learning needs. I prioritise patience and creating a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. My goal is not only to improve academic results, but also to reduce study-related anxiety, build confidence, and develop effective learning strategies so students can succeed independently.
