What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

One of the things I enjoy most about tutoring is getting the opportunity to witness the moment a concept clicks for a student. This moment is not just about the student getting the right answer, but seeing and feeling the happiness and relief in their face when they finally understand the concept. From tutoring younger siblings to part taking in the Set4ANU program as a mentor at the Australian National University, being able to witness these small but rewarding moments brings all the joy as a tutor.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

As a tutor my main strengths are organisation, planning, communication and being able to create a supportive learning environment. When tutoring, I am able to stay organised and plan classes in advance to ensure my students get the most out of each of their tutoring classes. Additionally, I can identify when a student needs more support at a specific concept without them asking for it. I am able to communicate with students in a clear and concise manner as to explain the concept at hand. My motivation to teach students makes me approachable for any questions and doubts a student may have.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to support the student in building their confidence and becoming an independent learner. This is achieved through precise communication when teaching a concept, patience when confusion arises within the student, heartfelt appreciation for the student's progress and ever lasting support. By combining these qualities, a tutor is able to help students expand their knowledge and develop life long skills.
