What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students gain confidence in concepts they initially find challenging. In the subject I tutor at UNSW, computer vision, I like breaking down complex ideas into intuitive explanations and practical examples, and itโs really rewarding to see students connect theory with implementation and grow more comfortable with the subject.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
My strengths as a tutor are my ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and intuitive way, especially in technical subjects like computer vision. Iโm patient, approachable, and adapt my teaching style to suit different learning paces. I also focus on linking theory to practical examples, which helps students better understand and apply what theyโre learning.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I believe the most important things a tutor can do are to create a supportive and approachable learning environment, explain concepts clearly, and adapt to each studentโs learning style. A good tutor should help students build confidence, encourage questions, and guide them toward independent problem-solving rather than just giving answers.
