Hunter is a Bachelor of Science student majoring in Genetics, bringing a solid academic grounding to his tutoring in maths, science and English. He has already helped several students informally across maths, chemistry, biology and English, breaking down tricky concepts into clear, manageable steps. This tutor focuses on building understanding rather than memorisation, often linking ideas across subjects so students see the bigger picture. Hunter’s own studies mean he is very familiar with current school content and what is expected in assessments.
Through his role as an art assistant with groups of children, Hunter has gained hands-on experience guiding young learners through structured activities and lessons. He is used to demonstrating a process, then patiently coaching each child through it at their own pace. Monitoring children’s safety and wellbeing has also helped him develop calm classroom-style management. These experiences transfer directly to tutoring, where he uses stepbystep explanations, checks for understanding regularly, and keeps sessions relaxed but focused.
Hunter is known for his excellent communication and strong organisation, skills he developed by juggling study with demanding customer-facing work and regular unofficial tutoring. He plans sessions around each student’s goals, using practical examples from everyday life to make maths and science feel relevant. When a student gets stuck, he is patient and willing to try different explanations, including drawing diagrams or working through extra practice questions. Parents can expect a reliable tutor who turns up prepared and helps build both skills and confidence.

Matt understood the content very well, we covered the whole chapter within the hour. He got most of the formulas fairly quickly and was able to apply these formulas decently.
Did not understand one of the families and could not apply it. I will endeavour to show him next week how to successfully do this. Also still had trouble with inequalities.
Understood most of the content well, had a rudimentary understanding of the advanced questions. I am confident he will do well on the upcoming test.

Needs to slow down and check his working out more, as Matt is rushing too quickly through answers. This is easily fixed though and he is a good student.
Took to cubic graphs quite quickly, was able to factorise and/or expand cubic functions to answer the question effeiciently.

Took a little bit of time for Matt to understand how to draw cubic graphs, but got there in the end. Forgot to apply the discriminant.

Still struggled on inequalities but I plan to address this next lesson
