What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student gradually become more confident in something they previously found difficult. I find it incredibly rewarding when an explanation finally clicks for a student and they are able to solve a problem independently. I also enjoy getting to know how each student thinks and finding different ways to make challenging concepts easier for them to understand.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe one of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my patience and ability to adapt my explanations to each student. I understand that students learn in different ways, so I try to identify exactly where they are struggling and explain concepts in a way that makes sense to them. I also aim to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions and are not afraid of making mistakes.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe one of the most important things I can do for a student is help them develop the confidence and skills to learn independently. Rather than simply giving them answers, I want to help students understand why a method works, recognise where they are struggling and develop strategies for approaching unfamiliar problems. About Angenaa
Strong Background in Maths and Science
I'm very passionate about Maths and Science, and I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) and Computer Science at UNSW. During Year 12, I studied Mathematics Extension 1 and 2, Physics and Chemistry, achieving strong results across these subjects, including a Band 6 in Mathematics Extension 1.
Patient and Supportive Teaching Style
I aim to create a patient and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and teaching approach depending on their individual needs. I particularly enjoy breaking difficult concepts into smaller, more manageable steps and helping students build confidence in areas they may initially find challenging.
Experience Supporting Younger Students
I have experience supporting younger students with their learning through tutoring younger relatives, as well as participating in a peer support program where I worked with a Year 7 student. These experiences have helped me develop my communication skills and taught me the importance of being patient, encouraging and adapting my explanations to suit each student. I hope to help students feel comfortable seeking support while gradually becoming more confident and independent in their learning.
