What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I really enjoy the aspect of making a difference in a student's academic journey while also gaining invaluable qualities that I can take with me for the rest of my life including leadership, compassion, organisation as well as communication skills which are all integral in my personal growth. I believe that sharing my passion of a subject with someone else and making it fun and engaging is something which really appeals to me in tutoring and I hope to be able to build the required confidence and skills in the student, taking it 1 step at a time.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Some of my strengths include being understanding and patient, which means that if I have noticed certain struggles or a lack of confidence in a certain area or skill, I am more than willing to offer support and guidance and help the student overcome the difficulty while continuing to offer encouragement and wanting to learn more about the root of the difficulty and how we can go about navigating it. I also believe that I am dedicated and motivated and in order to see my student succeed, I am open to run extra sessions to address any queries or mark any homework/assignment with the student.
Most important things I can do for a student π
As part of my previous tutoring experience, I believe that it is important to provide regular updates about the student's progress to both the student and their parents. This helps to build a sense of assurance and certainty about the academic pathway of the student and being able to identify and strengths and weaknesses of the student. I also believe that working at the appropriate pace is also important so that student doesnt find themselves lost and confused . Working at the pace in which student feels comfortable allows for the student's thorough understanding of the topic.

About Ved
Experienced Maths Tutor for Years 5β9
Ved is a Year 12 graduate who has already provided onetoone maths tutoring for students in Years 5 to 9. He designs clear, stepbystep lessons aligned with the Victorian curriculum, especially for topics like fractions and algebra that many students find challenging. This tutor creates targeted practice exercises, uses regular miniassessments to track progress, and adjusts the pace so students donβt feel rushed or bored. He keeps parents updated, focusing on both results and growing each studentβs confidence.
Clear Communicator Who Makes Learning Less Scary
With strong communication and numeracy skills, Ved explains ideas in simple language and checks understanding with practical examples, not just worksheets. He has experience giving constructive feedback that encourages rather than overwhelms, helping students who are anxious about maths feel more in control. Drawing on his background in both English and Hindi, he can support students from diverse language backgrounds and bridge gaps when maths wording or question styles are confusing.
CommunityMinded Role Model with Strong Study Habits
Ved brings maturity and responsibility from his community volunteering into his tutoring. He has supported a community food charity, where he carefully organised donations and interacted with a wide range of people, building patience and empathy that carry over into his work with children. He is organised, punctual, and used to managing tasks independently, which means lessons run smoothly and reliably. This tutor aims to be a relatable role model, showing students how consistent effort and good habits lead to real improvement.
