What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing things click for a student. Most of the times they're capable but they just need the topics explained in a way that makes sense to them. Helping someone go from feeling stuck to feeling confident is really rewarding.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my strengths is adapting how I explain concepts depending on the student as the same explanation doesn't work for every student. I'm good at breaking down problems step by step and adjusting my approach until it actually makes sense to them, rather than just giving an answer.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is focus on developing understanding rather than just giving the right answers. When students understand the thinking behind a question, they're more confident and able to apply it on their own.

About SRISHTI

Strong Maths and Problem-Solving Foundations

Srishti is studying a double degree in Mechatronics Engineering and Information Technology (Cybersecurity), giving her a deep and current understanding of Maths and logical thinking that flows directly into her tutoring. She achieved an ATAR in the mid90s, showing consistent high performance across her senior subjects. This tutor breaks complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, using the same structured thinking she applies in engineering and coding projects to help school students tackle tricky questions with confidence.

Real Experience Supporting Students in STEM Settings

Through her role coordinating student-led engineering projects, Srishti regularly explains technical concepts to peers, checks their understanding, and helps them plan out tasks – all key skills for effective tutoring. She has experience tracking progress over time and adjusting support when someone is stuck, much like guiding a student through a Maths topic or exam preparation. This tutor is used to working with different ability levels and personalities, keeping students engaged while still pushing them to improve.

Encouraging, Organised and Easy to Relate To

As a People & Culture officer in an IT community, Srishti helps create inclusive, welcoming spaces where people feel comfortable asking questions – exactly the environment she brings to her lessons. She combines strong organisation and reliability with a calm, friendly manner, so parents can trust that sessions start on time and stay focused. This tutor likes using realworld examples from engineering, technology and everyday life to show why Maths and logical thinking actually matter, helping students stay motivated and curious.
