What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy sharing my love for mathematics. I know some people find it boring or difficult but I truly believe maths can be intrinsically rewarding for anyone with the right teaching style. I think it’s a shame if someone doesn’t get to experience the joys of maths. My favourite thing about tutoring is being able to get to know the students learning style and being able to experience the joy with them as they grow in understanding.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am very patient, as well as tutoring high school students I have looked after younger children which was a very rewarding job. I am empathetic and creative in coming up with learning techniques tailored to individual students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Being able to help the student develop the confidence and the skills to continue going forward after leaving the tutor. My best teachers not only explained content but also gave me the skills to continue learning after, without them. Mathematics is infinite, the learning is never over. Even now in my maths degree I still struggle and have days where I feel I don’t understand anything. But because of the brilliant teachers I have had I have the passion, motivation and ability to keep learning. The most important thing I would say would be inspiring the student to persevere in the long-term
