My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am calm, patient and i am willing to sit down and guide students through what they need to do.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Tutors need to be calm and patient when working with the student. they need to guide the student and be able to work with the parents depeding if the student is independant or not. tutors should also be punctual to make sure that they can give the best quality lesson to the students without being rushed about another student they have after. these are the things that i find important for a tutor to do for a student

Testimonials πŸ†

We can not thank our son's tutor, Mr Joshua Nurtjahja enough. Joshua has developed a great rapport with our son. His teaching method is relatable and achieving results. We hope that Joshua shares in our son's accomplishment and recognises we are grateful for his support.

About Joshua

I am maths tutor

I graduated from MCCP in 2024 with a maths HSC score of 96.

Coaching Mindset and Strong Communication

Joshua studies Sports and Exercise Science, giving him a solid understanding of motivation, goal-setting and performance improvement – all of which he applies to tutoring. On court, he explains techniques in simple language, demonstrates them, and then adjusts his approach based on how each student learns. In tutoring sessions, he uses the same style: clear explanations, practical examples, and step-by-step guidance, helping students who may be shy, easily distracted, or lacking confidence to steadily build skills.

Goal-Oriented, Competitive, and Encouraging

Having competed in school tennis and table tennis at a high level, Joshua knows how to prepare for tests and competitions under pressure. He often turns practice questions into β€œmini challenges” or friendly timed activities, which keeps students engaged while building speed and accuracy. This tutor enjoys setting short-term goals with students, tracking their progress, and showing them how effort leads to real improvement, making learning feel more like achieving milestones than just doing homework.
