What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
Something that I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student go from feeling completely clueless to having a concept finally click, as it is incredibly rewarding to be part of that moment. From my own experience, my tutor was a great mentor and someone I truly admired, and they played a huge role in building my confidence. That experience is a big reason why I enjoy tutoring and why I hope to be that kind of supportive mentor for other students. I also enjoy building supportive relationships with students and helping them develop better study habits, not just better grades.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
To list some of my strengths, I am personable and communicate well with students, especially younger learners, which Iโve developed through spending a lot of time with my younger cousins. Regarding older high school students, I believe I have a slight advantage since I am a recent high school graduate, so I also understand what it feels like to be stressed out by exams and academic pressure, so Iโm able to empathise and relate to students while supporting them in an encouraging way. I am also able and happy to cater to different students' learning styles to better support their learning.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to help them understand why concepts work, not just how to get the answer. By helping students develop effective learning methods and problem-solving strategies, they become more independently confident, allowing them to overcome academic challenges even without a tutor guiding them. Other important things a tutor can do includes helping students build confidence, provide consistent support, tailor learning to the studentโs individual needs, and creating a safe environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

About Alice
Brains, Balance & a Bit of Gym Time ?
When Iโm not tutoring, youโll probably find me at the gym or reorganising my notes (yes, for fun). I love staying active, keeping lessons upbeat, and making learning feel way less intimidating than school sometimes makes it.
