What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

I have tutored underprivileged kids before and have realised that interacting with students and hearing their day-to-day stories is the best feeling ever. It is fun and takes me back to my primary school days. Also, I enjoy sharing tips and tricks, along with daily fun general knowledge, for everyone, which helps make the class more fun and interactive.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

As I have recently completed my schooling, I understand the needs of the students of this generation, and I believe that I can explain concepts in a way I would have wanted my tutor to teach me. Also, being able to speak 5 different languages, I have the experience of immersing in new cultures and environments, which would help me communicate and understand individual students more effectively.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

The most important thing a tutor can do is to make studying not feel like a boring task. The more fun a class is, the more likely it is that the student will put in extra effort in the subject. Also, an environment with healthy competition is necessary for maximising the output of each individual.

About Asutosh Kumar

Strong academic foundations in maths and analytical thinking

Asutosh is a high-achieving commerce student with a strong focus on finance and business analytics, built on a rigorous maths and science background in school. He has consistently scored in the top range of his classes, especially in quantitative subjects, and has completed advanced mathematics as part of the International Baccalaureate. This tutor is very comfortable breaking down tricky concepts like algebra, data handling and problem-solving, helping students move from โ€œjust memorisingโ€ to actually understanding how and why things work.

Proven experience tutoring and communicating with young learners

Asutosh has directly tutored more than 40 children in English and another language through a long-term volunteering program, helping them noticeably improve their language skills. This experience means he understands how to work with mixed-ability groups, explain ideas in simple language and keep students engaged. His background in student mentoring and Model United Nations has sharpened his communication skills, so he can patiently guide shy or uncertain students to speak up, ask questions and gain confidence.

Engaging, well-rounded approach to learning

Beyond academics, Asutosh has led and organised student clubs and large events, which has trained him to plan structured sessions, manage time well and stay calm under pressure. He often uses real-life examples from finance, science projects and debates to make maths and English feel relevant and interesting. With experience in visual tools and presentation, this tutor is comfortable creating clear notes, diagrams and step-by-step explanations so schoolwork feels less overwhelming and more manageable for each student.
