What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

Most definitely the innate feeling of satisfaction you get after seeing a student finally grasp a concept they may have had difficulty learning or understanding prior. In my experience, children (and adults too) are vessels waiting to be filled with knowledge, and there's no greater pleasure than to facilitate that process.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

One of my strengths is being able to communicate effectively and patiently with kids across the board, even when they're repeatedly struggling with a concept. In addition, I've learnt myself what could be described as almost a 'toolkit' of techniques, methods and resources that've help bridge the knowledge gap for many students countless times.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

Being patient and empathetic amount to some of the most important qualities for a tutor to possess. In addition, a genuine sense of care for each and every student does wonders in ensuring that each one receives the greatest quality of help, and the effort they deserve from their tutor. I've always tried to connect with my students on different levels, well beyond seeing them as purely transactional.

About Aarnav

High-achieving academic with proven results

Aarnav is a high-performing student who achieved an ATAR in the high 90s and earned a state-level academic merit award. He brings strong skills in English and analytical thinking, sharpened through advanced school programmes and involvement in debating and mock trial competitions. This tutor understands curriculum expectations and assessment styles, and uses that insight to help students not just โ€œget byโ€ but genuinely excel. Parents can expect someone who knows what top performance looks like and how to guide students towards it.

Experienced private tutor with measurable progress

As a private tutor, Aarnav has worked with around 18 students, designing tailored, curriculum-aligned lessons that led to average grade improvements of about 20% in a single semester. He regularly updates parents with clear progress reports and adjusts his teaching style based on ongoing assessment of each studentโ€™s learning gaps. Whether itโ€™s building core numeracy and literacy in primary school or lifting marks in high school assignments and exams, this tutor focuses on clear explanations and step-by-step problem solving.

Engaging role model and confident communicator

Beyond academics, Aarnav is actively involved in youth leadership, including serving on a youth advisory council and helping organise large-scale charity and advocacy events with hundreds of student participants. His background in debating and national youth conferences means he communicates confidently and helps students express their ideas clearly in writing and speech. With interests in calisthenics, tennis and football, he easily connects with young people, creating a relaxed but focused learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying challenging work.
