About John
Who am I?
Hello there! I'm John (b. 2005), a friendly, engaging and flexible teacher for a variety of subjects. My passions are classical music, chess, hiking and philosophy. I'm currently studying a Batchelor's of Science through the University of Southern Queensland, specializing in mathematics and statistics.
What I do:
I'm able to teach mathematics at any school level, tutor chess, and I have diplomas in both composition (L.Dip.ASMC) and in piano teaching (A.Dip.SCSM). I can also teach physics and chemistry, although those subjects aren't my bread and butter.
What to expect from my services:
I teach to the strengths of the student in order to overcome their weaknesses. Whether they need to build confidence, exam technique, consistency or general knowledge, I patiently and emphatically work with the student from the place that they are, developing their repertoire of knowledge, problem solving skills and tipping them to achieve the best result they can.
