What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy tutoring because I love seeing that moment when something finally clicks for a student. As a Teaching Assistant for MA115 (Statistics I) and MA125 (Calculus I) at Boston University, I've learned that math can feel overwhelming at first, but breaking it down into simple, logical steps makes it approachable. It's rewarding to help students build confidence and realize they're capable of solving problems on their own.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
What makes me a great tutor is my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and logically while adapting to each student's level of understanding. I focus not just on giving answers but on building strong conceptual foundations. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop confidence, and learn how to think through problems independently. Most importantly, I adapt to your role both as a learner and teacher.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is help a student build genuine understanding and confidence. It's not just about getting the right answer, but about teaching them how to think through a problem independently. I tend to create a comfortable space where students feel safe asking questions, break down complex ideas into clear steps, and encourage critical thinking. Ultimately, the goal is to empower the student so they don't just rely on me, but develop the skills and confidence to succeed on their own.
